"This lady is probably the best teacher I have ever had ever, that includes High School and College. Karen is superb in teaching color and composition as well as the basics of constructing a painting. I am constantly amazed at Karen's knowledge. I intend to take every class Karen teaches because I continue to learn. Karen's patience and encouragement motivate me to continue to press on when frustrated. I look back at my first paintings and compare them to my current and I can't believe the improvement." Richard Gardiner
“The Plein Air classes are so informative–encouraging to beginners and confidence builders for all. Karen Lewis is a versatile artist who not only paints, she demonstrates technique and isolates problem areas for her students. The best oil teacher I’ve ever had.” Laurena
“I have taken other classes and learned “the basics” but Karen’s approach was most easily absorbed and applied of all the classes I have taken. Karen gives lots of practical suggestions based on her experience and knowledge that are extremely helpful.” Pat
“Karen provides thoughtful well organized lessons that have improved my painting a thousand fold!” Kelley
"Karen's classes have taught me to see differently, and to artistically translate what I see onto a canvas."
“Karen is the best art instructor ever. Everyone should try her classes.” Vona Adams-Lawrence
